These were the John Wayne Westerns we all remember. "Fort Apache", "Rio Grande", and "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", known as the JOHN FORD TRILOGY. These were the movies that helped to define John Wayne. They were the building blocks from which he built his later, characterizations.
Frequently forgotten in favor of the later, "Chism", "McLintock", "Big Jake", and "Rooster", these movies deserve much more attention.
